Lakes at Bella Lago Community Development District
The Lakes at Bella Lago Community Development District (CDD) is a local, special purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, established February 6, 2023 and created by Ordinance No. 2023-7 of the Board of County Commissioners, Clay County, Florida as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The Lakes at Bella Lago is located entirely within the boundaries of unincorporated Clay County, Florida, comprising a parcel or parcels of land containing approximately 254.16 acres, located south of Sandridge Road, east of First Coast Expressway and west of Feed Mill Road.
The powers and functions of the District are described in Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. Consent is hereby given to the District’s Board of Supervisors to finance, fund, plan, establish, acquire, construct, reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain systems and facilities for parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural, and educational uses, and for security, all as authorized and described by Sections 190.012(2)(a) and (2)(d), Florida Statutes (2021).

The Lakes at Bella Lago Community Development District (CDD) is a local, special purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, established February 6, 2023 and created by Ordinance No. 2023-7 of the Board of County Commissioners, Clay County, Florida as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The District may exercise the general and special powers authorized by Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, with specific consent for the special powers in Sections 190.012(2)(a) and (2)(d), and which shall operate in accordance with the uniform community development district charter as set forth in Sections 190.006 through 190.041 Florida Statutes.
